Building AI governance fluency on a board

The situation

Directors are expected to oversee AI, but the standards are abstract and the risks are easy to underestimate. The board wanted fluency, not a lecture.

What we did

We ran a one-hour session for six directors, built on 25 short scenarios. Each scenario tests several ISO 42001 clauses at once, so directors practise the judgement the standard asks of them, on situations that feel real.

What changed

In an hour, six directors worked through realistic situations that test the judgement ISO 42001 asks of a board, together and in their own setting.
