Contract review against 300 negotiating positions

Case studies: all 13 case studies

The situation

Each agreement had to be checked against the company’s master services agreement, with 300 positions, and a policy document on risk and negotiation. An earlier LLM assessment processed only about half of the clauses. As with the tender work, the technology team would not set it up or support it.

What we did

We built the review entirely on Claude, using the same BigDocs approach as the tender work. A 400-clause agreement is assessed against the MSA and the policy, with measures of coverage so reviewers can see that nothing was skipped.

What changed

Every clause is processed, where the earlier assessment reached about half. Redline edits fell to 6.5 words per change, from 12, so changes are precise and easy to accept. No clauses were misnumbered.

Why it matters

Reviewers spend their time on judgement, not on checking whether the tool missed something. The business runs it without the technology team.
