A 200-question tender answered in 15 minutes

The situation
Large tenders take days to answer, and the knowledge needed is scattered across past responses and documents. The constraint was firm: the technology team would not be involved in setting it up or supporting it. The business team had to be self-sufficient.
What we did
We built a capability library and the skills to use it, entirely on Claude, drawing on the BigDocs approach to big documents. A person stays in the loop: the system drafts, flags and cites; people decide.
We also built a method for bringing new knowledge into the library, so it grows with every major document instead of going stale.
What changed
A 200-question RFP is answered automatically in 15 minutes, with escalations, coverage statistics, a risk assessment and a source citation for each answer. Adding a major document such as a new RFP to the library takes about 10 minutes, and highlights possible conflicts and gaps.
Why it matters
It runs without the technology team, as required. The business owns it, keeps it current, and can see where every answer came from.
