From opportunity to an internal AI team in three months

The situation
The business could see that AI mattered, but it had no clear view of where it would pay off, how it should be governed, or who would run it. Without that, every idea stayed an idea.
What we did
We started with an opportunity assessment, then set the strategy, the operating model and the architecture to support it. We reviewed policy so that the work would hold up as it grew.
We delivered some of the work hands-on and guided the rest, so the people who would own it were doing it from the start. Two major workflows were taken from idea to implementation, and staff were given self-service training so they could carry on without us.
What changed
Three months from the first opportunity assessment to an implemented initiative, and a decision by the business to build and resource an internal team.
Why it matters
The client was left with a capability it owns and can sustain, not a dependency. That is the point of fractional leadership: steer the work, build the team, then step back.
