Frameworks in Practice: all 12 articles

Thesis

Most people treat accreditation as a badge to display. Procurement teams can use the JAS-ANZ register to vet suppliers, and suppliers can use it to see what their buyers will see.

Reader

Government and enterprise procurement teams; small suppliers deciding whether to pursue certification.

Beats

  1. Two lists: certification bodies (accredited by JAS-ANZ, a long multi-stage process) and certified organisations (certified by an accredited body for a given scope).
  2. For buyers: what a listing tells you and what it doesn’t. Check the scope, not just the name.
  3. For suppliers: the realistic path is certification by an accredited body, which then lists you.
  4. ISO 42001 is new, so not every accredited body has it in scope yet.

Checks to do

Which accredited bodies currently cover ISO 42001 in Australia and New Zealand; whether any Australian organisations are yet listed as certified.
